5 Facts if you want to be a Software Engineer

5 Facts if you want to be a Software Engineer

There have been many myths around Software Engineering roles & Industry. Today I am going to put some light on few of them. Here are few short & crispy facts for all those who want to make a career in Software Engineering.

⭐️⭐️ Understand the fact, Talented folks are not just in good colleges. Talent is everywhere. Talent can be developed.

⭐️⭐️ Companies don't pay for the degree you hold, be it from MIT, IIT or NIT. So degrees don't matter a lot but education does. If you're from a top college & you have no interest to learn, no cutting-edge skill then companies are not going to hire you.

⭐️⭐️ Companies need folks who are willing to work for them. Create value for them. So, anyone & everyone has a chance to get a job on knowledge basis.

⭐️⭐️ You don't need to be a Math geek to be a programmer. Surely, it helps but it's not a necessity. To be a programmer there are many other skills needed such as good analytical skill, problem solving skill & off course the subject matter knowledge. If you can think of a solution, YES you can program !! As simple as that.

⭐️⭐️ Even if you don't have an Engineering degree, you have a fair chance to get into IT. If you can build something from scratch, you're good to go. Today, remote work is on rise. You can leverage the social media & share your learnings, showcase your work. Proof-of-work has a lot more value today than degree.

So DON'T LIMIT YOURSELF, DON'T SELF REJECT.

If you want to be a programmer, keep learning from any source. It doesn't have to be the best course in the world. Even some basics are enough in the beginning. Pick any language (absolutely, any language... it doesn't matter, just pick any) and start building.

Keep coding, keep building & keep sharing your success as well as failures.

Let people know what you're working on, don't shy away to seek help from others and help others !

Thanks for reading my post. Hope it helps you NOT TO LIMIT YOURSELF

Don't be shy to Say Hi!!
